What is Autodeposit?

The Autodeposit feature allows you to have money sent via Interac e-Transfer automatically deposited directly into your Rapport account, without having to answer a security question for every transaction.

First, link your email address to your Rapport account. When an Interac® e-Transfer is sent, the payment will automatically be deposited in the account associated with that email address. You will receive a notification that funds were deposited.

The Autodeposit feature continues to provide the value of Interac e-Transfer, without the need to share financial information – further protecting your accounts from fraud.  For senders, there is added convenience of not needing to convey security answers while continuing to have the security of knowing who is receiving the funds, prior to sending.

It's simple to set up:

  1. Log into Rapport’s online or mobile banking, navigate to the Transfers section and find Autodeposit, located on the Send Interac e-Transfer page. 
  2. Register your email address and link your account. Any transfers to the registered email address will automatically be deposited into your Rapport account.
  3. You will receive an email to confirm your registration. Check your inbox and click "Complete Registration".

What is Request Money?

Easily request money you are owed or use it as a friendly reminder when friends or family may have forgotten to pay you back. When you send a request for money, the recipient is notified instantly and can accept the request. If accepted, the requested amount will be automatically deposited into your Rapport account and you will be notified when the funds are available. 

It's simple to use:

  1. Log into Rapport’s online or mobile banking, navigate to the Transfers section, and select Request Interac e-Transfer
  2. Add or select a contact, fill out the name and email address of the person you are requesting the money from.
  3. Type in the specified amount you’re requesting and select the account you would like the funds deposited into. You can also include a personalized message.
  4. Once the recipient has fulfilled your request, the funds will immediately be deposited into your account and you will be notified immediately.
